Having already confirmed the likes of Paul Weller, The Fratellis, Pigeon Detectives, The View, Editors, Doves, Ash, Etienne De Crecy Live, 2 Many DJs and Scratch Perverts, the Hop Farm has already established itself as one of the UK’s most unmissable festivals. This year, its organisers are going one step further to show that the Hop Farm Festival is more than just about great music. As well as an array of fantastic activities for everyone, they are proud to announce their first 5-a-side Celebrity Football match!

Bringing you TWO days of football in association with Soccer Six, festival goers will be joined by ex-footballers, TV personalities and even some of the bands who’ll be taking a well earned break from entertaining the crowds.  Kicking off at noon on both Saturday and Sunday 4th / 5th of July at Paddock Wood in Kent, Hop Farm brings you the ultimate festival experience - great music AND great entertainment.

Sporting guests so far include Everton legend Neville Southall (MBE) and ex-Man U winger, Lee Sharpe. Giving the pros a run for their money and showing that their talents go beyond bashing out first-class tunes, The Pigeon Detectives and Noah and the Whale will be strutting their stuff on the pitch. British Sea Power are hoping to make it off the bench and get involved too. Manchester boys Kid British will also be stretching their legs, as well a selection of television favourites, from Big Brother housemates to Shipwrecked castaways! Of course, it’s nice to get the experts in too, so some of the editorial team for Football Punk magazine will be practicing what they preach as they show off their fancy foot-work. It’s all to play for as our winning teams will be awarded the Hop Farm Soccer Six trophy, and of course the glory that comes with receiving it in front of a capacity festival crowd!
And the teams are....
