Hi, my name is Lee Wilson and BandBase is my creation!
It's the result of many years (since about 2001) of research into the live music scene, what people in the business really want from a website that's built just for them, and a lot of programming!
I'm also a musician, and have been playing piano and keyboards in various bands in the pub and function circuit for a number of years.
Influences? There are lots, but if I had to name a few, I would have to say Dr John, Jools Holland, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Joe Sample, Herbie Hancock and.....well, you get the idea. I like blues, soul, funk and jazz styles.
I play a Roland RD700 piano, and a VK8 organ, because I like my sound to suit the styles of music I prefer to play.
