HARD ROAD are a powerful, melodic, four-piece band. They perform a wide range of blues & R&B. They play all over the south at all types of functions and venues. Regularly performing at "biker bashes", where the band's rockier aspect is greatly appreciated. They also feel just as comfortable performing in many of Kent's small pubs and clubs. Anyone thinking that blues bands are boring and predictable obviously haven't heard this lot in full flight!
The ol' man, John E Charisma, on lead guitar and vocals, can turn out a fair rendition of most classic rock numbers such as Jumpin' Jack Flash, Born to be wild, Hey Joe or Alright now. As well as this he does a good turn on blues material by the likes of Freddie King, Muddy Waters, BB King, Buddy Guy or Robert Johnson. He wouldn't sound half as good however, without the driving rhythm guitar of his son, Micah. Or the huge sound of Paul Le Baigue on bass. All driven along by manic(or is it maniac?) drummer Dave Neal(ex-Suzi Quatro drummist).
