Ivan's All-Stars

Ivan’s All-Stars are a brass-fuelled collective from Whitstable, Kent, delivering a joyous collision of funk, soul, ska, and rhythm & blues.

Led by saxophonist and bandleader Ivan Thompson, the lineup shifts but the energy never dips—anchored by regulars like Steve Higgs (guitar), Martin Elliott (bass), Duncan “The Trump” MacKay (trumpet), and vocalists Catriona “Bean” Bryce and Simon Foster.

Their shows are loose-limbed and full of life: tight horn stabs, deep-pocket grooves, and a setlist that moves from smoky soul to dancefloor funk without missing a beat. Whether they’re lighting up the East Quay or packing out the Pelton Arms, the All-Stars bring a kind of musical mischief that’s impossible to fake.
