Broken Biscuit

Broken Biscuit are an occasional blues band from Broadstairs, Kent, known for their upbeat take on blues, boogie, and rhythm & blues — all delivered with a wink and a hat. Far from the stereotype of moody blues, they bring humour, groove, and a love of the finer things in life to every performance.

Fronted by Nigel on harmonica and lead vocals, the band has featured a rotating cast of local musicians over the years, including guest players on piano, Hammond organ, and guitar. Their sets blend classic blues standards with rhythm-driven boogie and a playful stage presence that’s made them a favourite at events like the Broadstairs Blues Review, where they’ve been a regular fixture.

Broken Biscuit aren’t a full-time touring act — they play when the mood strikes and the crowd’s ready — but when they do, it’s always a good time. Expect tight grooves, cheeky charm, and a reminder that the blues doesn’t have to be blue.
