Calling all you hipsters, flipsters and finger poppin' daddies! Grab a ride as we wisk you crazy cats down to London town circa 1966.
Experience the sweat drenched allnighters downstairs at the Flamingo (yes, even the walls sweat!). If you're cool enough, join the 'In Crowd' down at Ham Yard and watch those modernist dandies preen as they negotiate admission to the Scene club ("I am the Face!"). Writhe in anticipation as the crowd chants "Geno! Geno! Geno!". Yes, tonight it's 'Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band', tomorrow perhaps the soulful refrains of Reg King fronting 'The Action' or 'Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames', next week maybe 'Zoot Money's Big Roll Band' or even 'Kit Curtis & the Scene (or are our imaginations running away with us?).
So if you're 'Stuck In A Wind Up' we beg you (and we 'Ain't Too Proud To Beg!') ignore every 'Stop Sign', board 'The Memphis Train' and dance to 'That Driving Beat' like you're 'Some Kind of Wonderful'! 'Kit Curtis & The Scene' have arrived - hip shakin', soul breakin', earth quakin' rhythm, driving horn riffs and a big fat slab of the Professor's screaming Hammond. Now that's what we call maximum R&B!
So get ready for a whole lotta hand clappin', foot stompin', funky-butt......LIVE! And remember......In Kit's world it will always be 1966!
