Marky Dawson is a high-octane piano entertainer whose explosive boogie-woogie style, powerhouse vocals, and razor-sharp wit make every performance unforgettable.
Born in Poole, Dorset, Marky Dawson taught himself piano at the age of 14 and quickly developed a flair for performance. By 18, while studying voice at the London College of Music, he was already working as a resident pianist in bars and clubs—taking requests, handling hecklers, and building the magnetic stage presence that defines his shows today.
He’s equally at home pounding out raucous rockers or delivering tender ballads, often mixing classic covers with his own catchy originals.
Beyond the stage, Marky is:
A vocal coach, working with artists like Nikki Lamborn (coach to Newton Faulkner and Beverley Knight)
A songwriter and recording artist, with his 2024 debut album Bad Idea showcasing both his high-energy and heartfelt sides
A crowd-pleaser, known for turning any venue—pub, theatre, or festival—into a singalong party
Marky performs across the UK, from intimate lounges to full-band shows featuring top-tier jazz and blues musicians. His gigs are part music, part comedy, and all energy.
Marky Dawson isn’t just a piano player—he’s a showman, a storyteller, and a one-man party with 88 keys and no brakes.
