THE STORY SO FAR...
They've been seen as folks answer to the White Stripes and described as The Pussycat Dolls meets Nick Drake but thankfully for all their talent, Pierre Vincent and Bessie Sayce are about as far from being diva's in the making as you could hope to find. Giving up the comfort of a rented home for a life on the road, living out of their Winnebago has sown the seeds for some fine adventures.
With plenty of skill and bucketful's of charm, it isn't any wonder that THE DEALERS have achieved the accolades that they have in such a short period of time. Winning the first ever Rochester Sweeps Folk competition and Best Unsigned Acoustic Act In Britain (PLAYMUSIC Magazine) THE DEALERS have recieved airplay on radio stations across the UK, USA and Australia and had a song added to Neil Young's Living With War Website all in the space of two years.
The Dealers are now organising a tour of Europe for late 2008 and are crossing the Atlantic to gig the US in 2009.
Pierre's Dylan-esque guise is a perfect foil to Bessie's gothic-inspired image, she wouldn't look out of place in a Gwen Stefani video. Their self-penned self-financed albums are driven by acoustic guitar but ring with the spirit of classic English pop, disregarding what's expected from acoustic music.
Although mostly known for performing as a duo, Pierre & Bessie have now teamed up with some of the country's most sought after musicians.... Introducing THE DEALERS BAND. Russell Grooms on lead guitar (THE FAT RIVER BAND, LUCKY SOUL) Paul Clifford on percussive drums (THE BE GOOD TANYAS) Nigel Fiest on Harmonica (LA DOORS) and Levon Charles on Mandolin (EBBAS CREEK). As they are all professional, gigging musicians in their own right, THE DEALERS BAND GIGS are, for the moment, very select. So don't miss the chance to hear something really rather special.
