A historic 16th century pub with live music on Saturday evenings and a restaurant serving home cooked meals and bar food.
It stands in the heart of the picturesque mediaeval cinque port of Sandwich in Kent - once one of the busiest and largest ports in England.
Formerly known as "The Pelican" and as "The Three Mariners" it is known to have existed in 1546 and stands at the corner of High Street and Strand Street (left hand of top picture of Strand Street), adjacent to the Toll Bridge, Barbican, River Stour and the quayside where there is ample car parking.
There is always a warm welcome waiting from the landlord and landlady, Stewart and Louise, in thcosy oak beamed bar (and in the winter by a blazing log fire).
