Encouraged at an early age by friends and family to pursue a career in singing despite ambitions to be a dancer. Mandy went on to win several national talent competitions before deciding to give into the direct in which fate was pointing her. Her talent and flair has grown from a wealth of experience and continues to go from strength to strength.
Originally a trained dancer in Ballroom, Latin, Rock n Roll and Jazz, Mandy has been dancing competitively and taking exams in dance since she was 10 years which quickly lead onto dancing for theatre productions where her talent for singing was soon realised.
Mandy has been gigging as a soloist since 1998 covering corporate events for companies such as Shepherd Neame Brewery, Tesco, ASDA, wedding receptions, parties, clubs and live music venues. Currently a member of Rubber Biscuit, Kent’s biggest and some say best 13 piece rhythm and blues and soul band.
Mandy also covers the part of Agnetha in a popular Abba tribute show “Abba Inferno” from 2001; Mandy has entertained audiences in Belgium, Holland as well as touring the UK and had the privilege of a fortnight guest appearance on one of P&O’s biggest cruise ships. Mandy appeared on TV’s Bargain Hunt for a live prime-time broadcast in May 2003 with television star David Dickinson “Cheap as Chips”. The team made a profit of £500!!
Mandy currently successfully manages her own tribute acts to Kylie Minogue called The Showgirl tribute as well as an Abba duo called Absolute Abba.
