The Mariners Bar in Ramsgate is run by local fisherman Jason and his wife Natacha. Jason has been a fisherman for over 25 years, and is a former joint founder of the famous Eddie Gilberts fishmongers and restaurant.
The bar has been lavishly refurbished with beautiful stained-glass windows which look over Ramsgate's harbour and marina. The bar is a treasure-trove of wonders that Jason has caught during his fishing trips, including an aircraft propeller which hangs from the ceiling, and an old Ramsgate clinker fishing boat.
There is a function room on the first floor which boasts amazing panoramic views of the harbour. On a clear day you can see as far as Goodwin sands!
The Mariners Bar promotes live music every Friday and Saturday, and occasionally on Sundays and bank-holiday Mondays.
Visitors can enjoy real ales, free WiFi, freshly ground coffee, a pool table, and an outside seating area.
