The Royal Temple Yacht Club is one of the most prestigious sailing clubs on the south coast, proudly overlooking Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour. Founded in 1857, it has a long and distinguished history, with its royal patronage granted by the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) in 1896.

The club is renowned for its strong racing tradition, hosting major regattas and events that attract sailors from across the UK and beyond. Its annual regattas, including the famous Ramsgate Week, have become highlights of the sailing calendar, combining competitive racing with a vibrant social programme.

Inside, the clubhouse offers panoramic views of the harbour and provides members with excellent facilities, from dining and bars to meeting spaces. It is not only a hub for sailing but also a centre for social life in Ramsgate, welcoming members and guests to enjoy its unique setting.
