Based in Kent, England, April Blood’s style emerges from the rich soil of the Garden of England while embracing the musical traditions of the American South. Our songs create a unique fusion of Appalachian Folk and British Roots-Rock, embodying a distinctive indie-folk sound with a touch of alt-country. Imagine the vibes of First Aid Kit, The Be Good Tanyas, and Fleet Foxes. While our music is strongly guitar-based, we also incorporate an array of instruments like the harp, dulcimer, and harmonium, enriching many of our tracks. With lyrical depth and haunting harmonies, our music transports listeners from the mundane to a different time and place. 2026 has been an incredible year with some amazing gigs. In Tunbridge Wells, we played the iconic Forum, The Grey Lady and the annual music festival, Local and Live. We also played mainstage at Faversham Hope Festival plus many others.
