Formed in the mid‑1970s, the band quickly became a staple of the regional scene, building a loyal following through relentless gigging and a sound rooted in power, groove and unmistakable personality.

Fronted for more than fifty years by the charismatic Roger “Buster” James, the band has featured a revolving lineup of top‑tier musicians, including guitarists such as Jim Custance, Bob Seals, Stuart Goldring and Clive “Buzz” Hunt, alongside notable contributors like Mark Holmes and David Hawkins. The rhythm section has been anchored over the years by players including Steve Drew, Jeff Hollis, Derek Fletcher and Chris Warnes on bass, with drummers such as Paul Callaby, Steve Burgess, Tony Smith, Paul Hale and John Marter driving the band’s trademark punch.
