Gavin attended Newcastle College of Music and studied guitar under James Birkett, contributing songs and music to in house and local theatre productions. He developed his harmonic and melodic ideas while studying at G.I.T, London and went on to form a writing band "Why Bother" dipping into Kent’s pool of rich, talented musicians  performing as a solo artist around Kent and London.

Gavin’s song "Blossom" was recorded by the international acapella group "The Flying Pickets" for their 2008 album Big Mouth.

He has recently collaborated with songwriters Keith Beauvais, Sandy Nuttgens and  Jonathan Vincent to name a few.

“……. the song-writing reminiscent of classic artists from Simon and Garfunkel, to the Beatles and beyond.”
